Call for offers: digital publication
The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung is one of the largest political education institutions in Germany today, with branches in many countries worldwide. The Brussels Office operates as a think tank reflecting on European and international issues such as the global power shift and the socio-ecological transformation of today’s society. Madrid office as liaison office is organizational affiliated to Brussels office.
RLS launches an open call for offers for the finalization and implementation of digital publication Fronteira do Medo on it’s SECOND PHASE. The project is based on a research process examining policing practices in marginalized urban neighborhoods, focusing on both residents and police forces operating in these areas.
The publication consists of 14 thematic chapters to be presented in a dedicated digital format. A first phase (2024) included the development of the overall web design concept, visual identity, core illustrations and the initial interactive structure.
The present call concerns the completion, technical implementation, adaptation, and editorial finalization of the project. No new design concept is required.
The contract is divided into four service areas.
Lot 1 – Technical Web Implementation and Finalization
Services include:
- Integration of all remaining content into the existing web framework
- Implementation of interactive features as defined in the original concept.
- Necessary front-end and back-end adjustments
- Ensuring responsiveness across devices and screen sizes
- Performance optimization of the website
- Improvements in accessibility where applicable
- Testing, debugging and quality assurance
- Support during final deployment
- The development of a new visual identity is not part of this lot
Lot 2 – Graphic Design Adaptation and Additional Visual Assets
Based on the visual system developed in 2024 (Phase I), the contractor will:
- Apply and adapt the existing design to the finalized content
- Develop additional layout components where necessary
- Produce a limited number of additional illustrations in line with the established style
- Ensure visual coherence across all chapters
- Deliver assets in web-optimized formats
- Update style guidelines if required
- A redesign of the overall concept is excluded.
Lot 3 – Editorial Services
Services include:
- Structural editing and harmonization of the 14 chapters
- Adaptation of texts for digital publication
- Ensuring consistency of terminology and internal references
- Preparation of final texts for web integration
- Coordination with the technical team when required
Lot 4 – Proofreading
The contractor will carry out a final linguistic revision, including:
- Correction of grammar, spelling and syntax
- Elimination of stylistic inconsistencies
- Final quality control prior to publication
The contract shall run from March 2026 until June 2026. A detailed timeline will be agreed upon after contract signature. Tenderers must demonstrate:
- Relevant professional experience corresponding to the lots applied for
- Experience with comparable projects (portfolio required)
- Adequate technical and professional capacity
- Availability to complete the assignment within the indicated timeframe
- For Lots 1 and 2, experience in digital publication projects is required.
