Call for offers: public exhibition

The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung is one of the largest political education institutions in Germany today, with branches in many countries worldwide. The Brussels Office operates as a think tank reflecting on European and international issues such as the global power shift and the socio-ecological transformation of today’s society. Madrid office as liaison office is organizational affiliated to Brussels office.

We are calling for offers for Curatorial Services for a Collective Artistic Project on Memory and Migration. The purpose of this contract is to provide curatorial services for the artistic and political development of a collective process on memory and migration for the conceptualization, design, and implementation of its public exhibition/ presentation,  whose opening is scheduled for the end of the first half of 2026. The project has focused on recovering and strengthening the migrant memory in Spain, with a  local perspective  through collective memory methodologies, particularly through the social and political narratives linked to migratory journeys.

• The current phase consists of consolidating the collective process of recovering migrant memory already carried out, through an artistic proposal that functions as a cultural, political, and community-based device contributing to democratic debate from an anti-racist and situated perspective.The contracted curator or curatorial team shall be responsible for:
• Developing the curatorial concept and narrative framework of the artistic exhibition/ presentation.
• Carrying out the artistic and political elaboration of the collected materials.
• Coordinating the preparation and adaptation of materials for public display (textual, visual, audiovisual, ).
• Advising on mediation and public engagement strategies aligned with the project’s objectives.
• Supporting the installation and final preparation of the exhibition/ presentation.

The final outcome will be the fully curated, designed, and installed exhibition/artistic presentation of the memory and migration process, publicly inaugurated between the last week of May and the first week of June 2026
