Call for offers: production of a podcast series
The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung is one of the largest political education institutions in Germany today, with branches in many countries worldwide. The Brussels Office operates as a think tank reflecting on European and international issues such as the global power shift and the socio-ecological transformation of today’s society. Madrid office as liaison office is organizational affiliated to Brussels office.
The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung (RLS) has successfully supported podcast projects in recent years as part of its communication and political education work. Podcasts have proven to be an effective and accessible format for engaging diverse audiences, particularly younger generations, who increasingly consume political, social and cultural content through audio platforms.
Previous podcast collaborations have generated strong outcomes in terms of audience reach, engagement and impact, contributing to the dissemination of critical and emancipatory perspectives beyond traditional communication channels. Building on this experience, the RLS Brussels Office, through its Madrid Liaison Office, is launching this call to support the production of a new podcast series that contributes to strengthening progressive public debate and amplifying critical voices.
Description of the service
The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung is seeking offers to support the production of a podcast series within the programme area: Strengthening emancipatory and critical discourses and narratives. The podcast series should be focus on issues, actors and debates relevant to Spain and Portugal, and should contribute to strengthening progressive public debate across the Iberian Peninsula.
The objective of the programme is to strengthen the discursive and organizational capacities of actors, so that they are better equipped to intervene in political, academic and public debates at regional, European and international levels. The podcast series must contribute to promoting trade union and economic policy alternatives, socio-ecological transformation strategies, and public policies oriented towards the common good in a politically sustainable and accessible manner.
The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete production of the podcast series, including editorial coordination, recording, editing, post-production and delivery of the final audio files.
If you are interested in taking part in this process, please send us your portfolio/CV and your financial proposal, bearing in mind that it must cover the following:
- Research, identification and interviewing of relevant sources.
- Gathering and reviewing background information, documents and other supporting materials.
- Editorial coordination and development of the podcast series.
- Writing the scripts for the podcast episodes.
- Production and recording of podcast episodes. Please specify number of episodes and duration of each episode.
- Audio recording (remote and/or in person, as required).
- Sound design, including the integration of interviews, archival audio and environmental sound recreations where appropriate.
- Audio editing, restoration and post-production of all episodes.
- Mixing and mastering of the final audio, incorporating an original soundtrack where appropriate.
- Delivery of final mastered audio files in a format suitable for publication.
The financial offer must include a detailed price breakdown, indicating at least:
- Unit price per podcast episode.
- Total price for the complete series.
- Any additional costs, if applicable.
The service must be completed by 30 November 2026.
All offers received are weighted according to the following criteria:
